Hello all my name is ken and just so you all know i cant spell worth a darn and sometime type faster than i think.

I am starting a full time garden for the farmers market and if im lucky I can make a living at it. my wife wanted to but in some tropical trees and i said i would like some banana trees. we live just east of san antonio, tx by the way. the more i thought about it, i thought lets plant some that fruit and we can sell them, so my search started and here i am now. I think i have narrowed my choice down to four trees. what do you all think ?
blue java
williams
mysore
goldfinger

i pick the four using my limited knowlage of banana trees.

Welcome!

For production, consider Hua Moa instead of Williams. For taste, consider Dwarf Namwah instead of Goldfinger.

Welcome to Banana land!
Cavendish, Gran Nain have few problems and easy to grow.
Dwarf Nam Wah one of best tasting.

Greetings!

I agree with Captain Hof - you might want to consider Dwarf Cavendish and Gran Nain.
I like the flavor of Williams though (short shelf life though!) and I like the flavor of Goldfinger and Mysore as well!
