welcome Diehard, you've come to the right source. All kinds of info and great people. Search for mulching or overwintering and you'll be swamped with info. As a sidenote heavy mulch and a high, dry area should suffice. And/or wrap the pstem with christmas lights and lite em up on the coldest of nights.

Welcome to the site! You've come to the right place to get information about bananas. Like others have said, there are TONS of threads/info in the forums already about overwintering. Just use the 'Search' function in the blue bar near the top and search for 'overwintering' or something to that effect. In zone 9 you probably won't have to do much. Enjoy the site!

Welcome aboard, Diehard64 ! We have other members in Fresno so ya shouldn't have any problems with over-wintering! Watch for Cherokee Greg, he should know something.
It's a friendly & info-packed site. If ya have any questions about using the forum, just ask.

Thanks, I bought my bannana trees @ Belmont Nursary. This will be my first winter. I also see them around town. I'm just wondering because their not that big about 4 feet maybe. Thanks for reply. I believe I found a very good site hear.
