Re: New in Tampa Bay Area north
It should be a little warmer here so enjoy the sun and rain. We are a few miles north of you and enjoy growing also. There are many members in Florida so you can find a great supply of plants to buy or trade. Good growing.

Re: New in Tampa Bay Area north
Hey, and welcome. Springhill seems to be a popular place. Had another new member from there in the last day or so. I'm sure you'll find this area to be quiet a change from Nebraska, especially NW Nebraska. No snow here!
I'm on the Gulf Coast of Alabama in Bayou La Batre and we have about the same weather as you - we might get a little colder. Besides the bananas I'm into gingers, alocasia, colocasia, desert rose, plumerias, daylilies. Also have several different brugmansia. If you're interested in trading then PM me and let's do it. Again, welcome |

Re: New in Tampa Bay Area north
Welcome! We always love more plant-addicts. And yes, I've also noticed a good number of people from Springhill.

Re: New in Tampa Bay Area north
Gosh. Thanks for the warmest welcome ever gang!! None of my other plant sites are so friendly!!!!! I am ECSTATIC now about growing bananas. I NEVER KNEW. HA HA. Got tons of other stuff to trade for new kinds of musa. I've been reading threads all day!!! Cool info!! Talk to you all later. I never knew so many others thought growing bananas was so a peeling. And if your near springhill or Tampa let's get together.

Yea the threads will suck you in and before you know it, the sun is rising, your vision is blurry and you have notes on a pad of paper that seem to scribble over themselves...LOL
Been there still doing it...
