Default North-Eastern Alabama

I am here to find out about the care of bananas trees in the cold weather here in North-Eastern Alabama where we get pretty cold wheather. I was wondering if the new Freezepruf is worth buying? I am in the process of buying a house that has a pool that the previous owner has planed about 20 banana tree around it. I can tell by looking at these trees that they have been there for a good long while. About 10 feet tall if I had to guess.
