![]() Hi I am David , I am new to bananas.org, I have an issue with my banana bunched I have had 7 bunches and everyone after about a month the end of peduncle starts to turn black and progresses up the buch until all the bananas turn black and bunch is lost, happend wether I cut the bud off or break it off and use no tool that would spread fungus, and bananas never plump or get bigger, I fertilize once every couple of weeks while bunches are on plants and they get 20 liters of water a day

![]() Could you upload some pictures?
How long has this been happening? Around 7 years? Maybe you shouldn't be cutting off the flower. You could also use some neem oil on the cut area if you haven't been treating it with any anti fungicides. 20 Litres of water a day can sound like a lot, are you in a particularly hot and dry climate? You don't seem to have listed your grow zone so it would be hard to use that information in diagnosing the issue there. Also how much fertilizer do you actually use? It potentially could be the plant trying to push all those extra nutrients down to the fruit and it getting burned. Again, unless someone has had the exact same thing happen in the same climate, it would be hard for someone to diagnose this issue without seeing pictures or getting more specific. But I'm sure we would all love to help! |
