stuartdave-new
have lived in Stuart for 11 yrs thru 3 hurricanes but no freezes, have numerous tropical fruit trees that are bearing on 6 tenths of an acre near the north fork of the st lucie river. Presently have large number of raja puri and cavendish with a few florida apple bananas and now a dwarf orinoco. I freeze large quantities of the raja puri to use in smoothies.

Yum, banana smoothies are incredible! Glad to have you as a new member. Tell us more about your experiences with the Raja Puris and Orinoco's. Everyone likes to see pictures, too.

Re: stuartdave-new
When you say Florida Apple bananas, can you describe them more? Got some pics?
I have collected some banana plants here in Florida and they grow tall and make tiny little fruits reminiscent of pineapple or something acidic..

Re: stuartdave-new
brought raja puri's from Ft lauderdale 11 yrs ago when I moved to Stuart. They are prolific, delicious, easily trasplanted and in a large clump just keep producing. They are also fairly cold tolerant

Re: stuartdave-new
Welcome aboard from a happy tropical dweller. How are your jackfruits working out for you? Last time I attempted them, the tree broke under the weight of its own fruit while I was away for a couple of days.
