Re: 2 nanners many pics
Ok some more info.
The guy I got plant number one from said it will reach 15' in ground. He said he potted one up one year and left it in a factory and got fruit. He said the fruit was the same taste as the store bought nanners?... Pups come out green with a reb/pink outline and midrib, leaf itself is not blotched at all. P-stem is very powdery white. Ok. Plant number two I think are orinocos. I bought the tall ones from a guy said he brought it back from Florida. I also have two corms planted in them which resembles the others pups. Both were brought back from Florida. Well I might take some more pictures later. Thanks for looking!

Re: 2 nanners many pics
Your first plant somewhat resembles 'Ice Cream'/'Blue Java' in my opinion.

That's exactly what I was thinking from the pics/descriptions.

Some bud shots
Left town for a week and came home to a nice surprise.
Here are some flowering pics of plant number 1, ice cream? Hopefully the other tall one pops soon. This thing was standing straight until a month back when I stole 3 pups all from the same side of corm. Now I will need to prop soon it looks like. note plant is flowering at 6'6"

Re: 2 nanners many pics
Yeah
I do not plan on harvesting these as that would take me into December most likely. (My season is over mid October) I do have plans on moving the pup, would it effect the visuals of fruit hanging since that is all I'm after. Thanks for the comments I will be posting more pics as time goes on.

Re: 2 nanners many pics
More shots of each plant mainly #1 flowering maybe Ice Cream?
These are all from today. Current finger length is around 4'' Pup and main stem of flowering plant. Does chopping back affect overall flowering height? This is another one it looked like it had started flowering last year before dormancy. This stem came up and is insanely fast growing. and a closer shot of its p-stem.. Ok This is plant #2 I bought these from 2 guys 1 guys with the 3 main stems and another with 2 I chopped back early. I am pretty sure they are the same. They both say they brought them back from Florida. One guy said it is the common Florida banana, but not the 'cold hardy' I am almost positive this is tall Orinoco. Just now starting to grow out of its funk. (Humidified shots) Why do my pics always come out so small? Is it from Flickr or my export settings? or what?

Re: 2 nanners many pics
good pics. i think its orinoco. The fruits look wedged and angular like orinoco. If they fatten and remain that way its orinoco. The fruits have those deep red tips like mine..

Re: 2 nanners many pics
Thanks for the comments!
Unfortunately these will need to be dug up soon, so I do not think I will be able to enjoy any of these. I will still try one premature whenever I dig up. Maybe cooking them would be ok?...
