Default bananito ?

Today at Auchan (a sort of european Wal-mart) I've bought some very small 'nanas identified only as "Bananito" from ecuador.

They are very sweet and creamy.... delicious !

I was wondering what cultivar are them .....

Here are some pics:

Yes I searched on the web and bonita is a company pretty much like Chiquita or Dole , and is owned by one of the richest of ecuadorian man (and the company has a very bad reputation between workers.... )

The only other info I found is this:

Orito

Might be Oritos. There was a gal from Ecuador here now some time ago and she described Oritos as small, very tasty and favorite bananas... Search for it and you will find your answer.

is it Niño ? Ladyfinger ?
Musa 'Orito'

Anyway I hope that if my Niño will fruit ever , the nanas will taste like the bananito , because they are great !

Yeah, the taxonomy's bad. I guess they are just called Oritos where they come from and nobody really bothers classifying them to a wider group. Dunno.
Maybe Gabe will answer, when he gets here.

As any 'nanas maniac on the forum would do , the Label was carefully inspected but it reported only the word "bananito",
To me doesn't seem any kind of cavendish, otherwise I'd sign with blood to have 2 class fruit so tasty!!! The cavendish flavour is nothing compared to them...

I volunteer to classify the plant.... my scientific/humanitarian ( and uninterested) spirit can't stand to leave human kind ignorant about this plant taxonomy.... just give me one and I'll sacrifice a piece of my land to enlight Humanity !

Last friday I was watching a political talk show and during one reportage the journalist told that a very important ecuadorian banana's company changed its final destination's port from Trieste to Koper due to lower taxes, and he showed and immense ship full of 'nanas... so now you should be able to find a wider variety on market....

Look after minute 10:15....

You can ambush the cargo just out of the port....

Sorry Rick, I tried to watch it 4 times, but I always end up watching that dark-haired woman and then am incapable of listening and gotta start again (you know, that ridiculously hot one).
But I appreciate the effort. Gotta learn that "r" sound. You know, watch one thing, when she starts talking fast etc. she can't help herself and has to gesticulate. That's almost unaxceptable here in the talkshows... it too easily uncovers the lie, one other thing why I like your language... it uses gesticulation and tone of the voice unlike any language. Also, watch her eyes. What she does, when she talks. Gotta LOVE that.

It's not that hot, when that fat man starts doing it.

On the positive note, I did get several sentences and information and am starting to recognize sentence structures.
