Newbie needs help identifying (Photos fixed)
Hello everyone. I have been reading and reviewing all the posts for quite sometime now but alas I have been unable to correctly identify my banana plants.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I intend on cultivating these and want to be sure of the care and necessary maintenance. Also when do I know when to harvest? But I guess that is a factor of the banana type. Thank you. Dutchman34 Base of plant Overall Plant Blooming and Bananas Blooming and Banana closeup Last edited by Dutchman34 : 08-07-2012 at 07:23 PM. Re: Newbie needs help identifying
Hey Dutchman34 and welcome!
First off, great banana pictures; thanks for posting! As to the banana's variety, I am by no means sure but it looks very similar to mine bloomwise, so I'm thinking it's in the Mysore or Ladyfinger family. Hopefully an experienced grower can collaborate on this. Hope that helps!

Re: Newbie needs help identifying
Probably Manzano (Apple). Not Mysore.
