My Basjoo has pupped many times over the past few years, but this is the first time one looked like this. Any problem?

That's pretty normal for Musa basjoo. Every once in a while, a pup will emerge with a reddish pseudostem. As it grows, it will start to look like the others. In my experience, those seem to be the most vigorous sword suckers too.
