Trying to identify a plant my mom planted 20 years ago

My mom bought a banana plant 20 years ago and planted it but can't remember what it was called. She thinks it's some sort of plantain or banana. She said she knows of 1 time maybeb8-10 years ago it made a small rack of bananas, but she thinks the raccoons took them all overnight. They were small and green one day and the next day they were all gone. I'm trying to help her figure out if she has an edible or ornamental variety. Thanks for any suggestions in advance. Pictures are following.

The leaves have a reddish spine and have a red line all the way around the edges. There are also some reddish spots on the leaves

Given the overall size at this time of year and the red splotches, it looks to me like a Dwarf Cavendish.

looking around at pictures, the leaves on a pisang ceylon have the reddish midrib and red line around the edges. It also has the maroon splotches. Do you identify bananas by the leaves, or what is the most common way a banana is identified,?

I think most of the veterans will tell you that they need to see the fruit

I dug up 2 suckers and planted them in my yard, so if they ever make fruit, I will be very happy to post a picture.

Start by determining it's genotype and ploidy and then whether it's a dwarf or not.

Many times a member will post a photo of an "a'ea'e" that has the phenotype of a diploid AA. People that realize an a'ea'e is a triploid AAB will know that the photo is not of an a'ea'e.

I finally got some bananas, the trunk on the largest one got about 10 inches across, and about 12 feet or so high. The bananas are really small, not much longer than my finger and not much thicker either.

The plant appears to be a dwarf variety.
Dwarf cavendish or namwah perhaps.
