Default Anyone growing Short Cycle Cold Hardy Bananas

I'm looking to expand my collection of Short Cycle Cold Hardy Bananas for my breeding program. I have enough Short Cycle Pisang Awak types but will buy or trade for other ABB genotypes that have a significantly shorter "Flower to Harvest" time than what is typical for it's subgroup.

For example, Pisang Awak types generally take 16 to 17 weeks from "Flower to Harvest" in my area so the ones that take 10 weeks to fill are significantly quicker and thus more desirable for breeding.

I bought a Viente Cohol and have been growing it in a bucket in Boston this spring. It is both more robust than I was warned (i.e. we had some nights in the 50s and it was fine) and less fast growing now that it's hot than I had hoped (perhaps these are related).

From what I have read on Ty Taylor's web site the Monthan banana is both short cycle and cold hardy.

Get that P-stem to 4 ft in the late spring and you have a good chance of having some awesome fruit..
