Re: Dwarf Brazilian; Rated as cool-tolerant?
To basjoofriend and mrbungalow,
I am sorry for no response. My dwarf brazilian is a TC from Agristarts. If it is hardy here in Switzerland? I don`t know, but honestly I don`t think so. Our frosts are too haevy and too long. I overwinter my bananas the way bigdog is doing it,but even the pseudostem survives the winter still the possibility of ever having fruit in central europe is very small. Because of our short warm tempered growing season. My DB pseudostem hight is 4 feet and it has pushed 3 pups incl. the smallest so far. I guess it is going to bloom in 2008. Maesy.
