![]() Hello everyone!
I'm completely new in growing bananas, so I apologise for my ignorance. I'd like to grow some edible varieties in my garden. My idea is to plant them in the sunniest place and to overwinter them wit some kind of protection. I'm located in zone 8b - Mediterranean, but I'm not close to the sea. So there are winters very mild (some nights below 0ºC) but others are more severe (some nights below -5ºC). I want to test one variety and how it behaves. What variety would you recommend me to start?
Thanks a lot! |

![]() Though all good choices I would go with the Dwarf Orinoco or the Dearf Namwah. Both are very reziliant .
