You could have found the answer within a few seconds using Google.

The Ambul (Mysore type) and the Anamalu (Cavendish type) banana both have a sour taste.

Ref (this forum): Sri Lankan Bananas

Which states the ambu kesel is the sour plantation

The general scientific name is 'Musa spp'. It is in the sub-group MySore.

Thank you.

Would like to know if it is Musa acuminata or Musa balbisiana?

What is the scientific name of the sub-group Mysore?

Musa Mysore ... The Mysore is AAB type. Meaning it is a descendant of Musa acuminata & Musa balbisiana cross. The major subgroups are well defined by characteristics. However, sub-subgroups are known by local names and may or may not be duplicates of other groups. Retyping of Musa by DNA is ongoing.

Do a google search for those to understand what those types (Musa acuminata or Musa balbisiana) are. .... Specificaly read
Insights into Musa balbisiana and Musa acuminata species ...
