Okay guys im new to fruiting bananas.take it easy on me.My question has to do with the ice cream banana. I have heard that some bananas need 2 plants to get fruit. Is that true of this kind of banana? And! is it a full sun banana?

Most bananas will do much better in 30% shade in California.

Bananas are parthenocarpic. Fruits will form even if blooms are not pollinated.

Hi Mark,

My Ice Cream that's fruiting right now is in full sun all day. I planted one and got two pups right away. And the pups already have pups.
I love this hobby!
