O.K. folks, now it is time to start getting those plant totals up to a minimum of 18, and in some multiple of 18, 24, or 72.

If you are reading this for the first time, please see post# 65244

Now to answer some questions:

Tony, they are not available. Thanks for catching this error. Either we got carried away or AgriStarts' list has been modified.

Anywhere between $2 and $40, depending how many you order and how difficult it is for the US Postal service to find you.

Here are some acceptable combinations:
In equal #:
24+24+24 = 72
36+36 = 72
18+18+18+18=72

Unequal #s:
36+18+18 = 72
54+18 = 72

Agristarts requires a minimum of 18 or multiples thereof of any one variety. Hence, you cannot have a combination of 36+12+12+12; 36+24+12; 24+24+12+12; etc., or any combination containing anything less than 18 of any one variety.

Chong, you are kind to point this out. But behind the scenes there are folks who are going to fill up partial trays. So my basic requirement is unchanged:
  • The total for any single variety must be a multiple of 18, 24, or 72.

Richard I did go to the referrenced post you provided ..
Please see post# 65244... and saw the mention of mixed flats..I never saw any mention of a price increase for taking advantage of mixed flats as opposed to a full flat of a single item.. IF the price is different than what you have posted it will change the total price of split flat orders..
IS there a price difference.. there was at the other co-op...
As I understand it that has always been their policy..
Kylie

Kylie, I have not posted any price. I have only guaranteed that I will not profit from this adventure: anyone who participates will only pay their share of actual costs. So for example, if you have nine plants in each of six flats, you will pay 9/72 = 12.5% of the cost of each flat and 12.5% of the shipping charge for each flat from AgriStarts to me (zipcode 92129). In addition, you will also pay the full cost of shipping your 9*6 = 54 plants from my place to yours in a USPS flat rate box. Since the post office provides the boxes for free, there is no cost for shipping materials -- or for the trip to the post office because I go there often to mail orders from my website business.

Now as far as how much AgriStarts charges for full flats and mixed flats, you will have to check with them for that information.

I hope this helps!

I hate the be the "2" person here...but...

2 Truly Tiny
2 Siam Ruby
2 Col. Black Ruffles
2 Bordelon
2 D. Orinoco
1 Kandarian (Harvey, you taking the other?)

Richard, I can not thank you enough. Honestly.

I might be the most flexible here. As it all continues to pan out, can I butt in and ask to be taken off or added on to ones that need one more or one less? I figure I should put in my general numbers right now so I don't slow the process near the end.

One last thing- I understand that half of them on the list on your website will not make the cut, and probably a few of the ones I have selected won't. I will want to switch to another if this happens. If that made any sense...

Can we put the list in order from greatest to least, Richard? I kept getting confused on what was the closest to full.

Thanks again!

Cold Re: Agri-starts..

Taylor..
the way the numbers will have to work is that at the very least 16 other Truly Tiny's would have to be sold to make a mixed flat..and fill the flat with at the most 3 other varities..(.increments shown below..)
This will be important at the end of everyone placing orders becoz you will have to make the #'s to fill a flat.

MIXED FLAT INFO. the option to order a mixed flat of 72. No more than 4 varieties to the mix, per flat. 18-18-18-18 or 24-24-24 or 36-36. The additional charge to mix a flat is $18.00. That increases the plant price by .25 each
