Agri-starts..
There is a coop going on @ Daves .. The plants are coming from agi-starts.. If you are a member they have some great deals on Banana's as well as other things.. It would be cool if we could do something like that here in the future..
Just FYI! Kylie |

Thanks Kylie, I suggested this some time ago and it died on the vine. Perhaps this post of yours will generate renewed interest.

Re: Agri-starts..
I think I would like to plant some Sabas this year. Any idea where I can get the best deal?

Re: Agri-starts..
It is still open to orders as of right now, they need more orders to make some of the 72 trays. They have lots of bananas (including the Siam Ruby) , alocasias, and colocasias

Re: Agri-starts..
Yes that is a good idea... who has the ability to order from them and is willing to be a coordinator?

Re: Agri-starts..
Quote:
TWO IMPORTANT THINGS: 1. Agri-Starts sells by the flat -- 72 TC's. They will allow a mixed flat, such as half one variety and half of another, and sometimes (rarely) a flat with 4 varieties. So if you want 1 of something and no one else does, we will not order it. 2. We can't order anything that is not on their availability list: http://www.agristarts.com/avail.htm If you are still interested, please reply to this thread. I will start a tally and post it somewhere for all to view.

Re: Agri-starts..
Thanks, for offering to head this up Richard. If there is enough demand, I'd be willing to go for a few each of 'Ebun Musak' and 'Kandarian'.

Re: Agri-starts..
Harvey, how does the Kandarian do in our zone? I would be interested in some of them too.. And Siam Ruby. (About 12 of them) Basically I will probably help out others if demand is low
They look so good for tropical landscape infill bananas like truly tiny and Musa Beccarii. Not sure what demand is like on those though.
