Ant Hill on Mound
does anyone have a idea about getting rid of ants with eggs around a mound, without poison?????????
i've done the grit and corn meal thing to no avail!!

Water. Lots of it. They will move, then you can poison the new mound. I have had really good luck with the Bayer ant killer dust. It only takes a little bit per mound.
Also, Rotenone (pyrethrins) will get them, just don't let the spray get on the nanner leaves! |

I've had good success with diatomaceous earth around my strawberries in the past. Use it liberally, and apply again after it rains (even though it'll still work after rain).

Boric Acid is not very poisonous. I guess, if the little critters ate enough of it, they would die. It works because like diatomaceous earth, it's an abrasive to their little bodies, and dehydrates them. Maybe this happens when they are learning to seperate the sugar from the mix? It works on contact(carrying, walking through, etc.). The sugar is used to attract them.

ty all for yur suggestions..
as i tryed to flood the A**H***s to no avail.. so i'm using that granular tasty smelling stuff.. i did this on the raja in gh and it did work, just don't like it.. i put on top without water and they smelled that stuff and ran off.. then i on hands and knees and removed all granules from soil .. i'm still here and ate 90+ bananas from plant..
