Default Anyone have experience with Mossmun Banana Variety?

Hi, I bought a Mossmun banana plant off Ebay. Looking back now it was an impulsive decision. The pup is in a pot and growing well. Does anyone have any experience with this variety? No problem if not. I'll update this thread with my adventure.

Well you probably bought it from tfarms which is a good place to buy banana trees. So the good news is, whatever Mossmun is, he sent the actual thing to you, not some mis labeled scrap. Definitely keep us updated on how it grows.

It's a sucrier type. In my collection it grows near the same as my other tall sucrier types but less prolific. Suckers are very few but many dormant nodes. Pretty standard sucrier sold in stores as baby bananas.

Hey!!
I don't know if you bought it from me....

Its a nice banana. The fruit are a little larger than the Thai egg types that people compare it to. Bigger bunches by a few hands if they are happy. Very sweet and they do well in shade, but they are taller in the shade.

Likes rich soil, a bit on the dryer side, shots of feeding get it suckering & moving fast for you....
