![]() I've been looking around for a while and don't seem to be able to find a source for Namwah. Lots of folks carry Dwarf Namwah but I don't see Namwah around even though AgriStarts has it listed. I've contacted some people that have it listed in their profile and they either meant to post Dwarf Namwah or their planted proved to be mislabled.
I'd like to try it to compare to the plants I got from Shawn in Lodi (discussed under a thread I started a couple of weeks ago) since Mitchel thought it looked like Namwah and Gabe also wrote me that he agreed with the guess. I'd prefer either a commercial source (shipped free of nematodes) or someone from an area without these pests. Thanks in advance, Harvey |

![]() Um yes, I actually had the same though about that plant when I seen your friends and started to look up sellers for a full-sized Namwah. I er... haven't ever ordered anything from them. And... their advertising practices are questionable but... says these plants get to 20 ft. (and I didn't see the word dwarf anywhere) Sadly this was the only one advertised... but who knows with them... I've heard good things.... and I've heard bad things...

![]() I haven't heard anything good about Ty Ty and don't want to gamble with them myself as it would probably be a waste of money and time.
![]() Thanks anyways! |

![]() No problem. I arrived to the same conclusion you did. I know someone said the owner has college degrees in this and that... but seriously that website in itself is in such poor taste... eh oh nevermind. Goodluck finding a standard. I DO see them posted now and again on ebay. I actually compared a picture I found on ebay to your friends ebay pictures of his bananas, and the inflorescence (Sorry spelling IS not my best subject) and the actual color of the fruit themselves looked SO similar... Though the shape of the bananas were just a bit different (I know they are ebay pictures and lord knows if they are what they say they are but...) It makes me wonder if he just doesn't have an interesting sport... of a Standard Nam Wah. If that's the case... I SAY TC!!! ^_-

![]() I'm an eBay addict (almost) and search it very frequently for bananas, but don't recall ever seeing the standard (tall) Namwah (aka "Namwa", "Nam Wah", "Nam Wa") on eBay. Just the dwarf form and some Asian sellers with a variegated form. Ahava, if you see it on eBay, please send me a PM.
Thanks, Harvey |

![]() Will do. I could have been wrong. If I see one anywhere else I will also send you a pm concerning it as I often surf the net for information on bananas.

![]() We have standard size Namwahs that we got from "Going Bananas" in Homestead, FL. However I just checked the web site and they do not list the tall variety anymore. Perhaps you can contact them and ask. We actually bought a dwarf Namwah that turned out to be a tall by mistake. They are doing very well and the bananas are great. I hope you are able to find one.

![]() Jon's neighbor grows Namwah. I'm not sure if they are dwarf or not though. Ask him about those.
