![]() We have 12 inches of snow and temp 2*F right now. Thrus minus 6*F with wind chill minus 27*F. Only good thing snow will insulate the Basjoo banana trees. And they arer covered with 2 ft cyprus mulch. Hope my koi survive in ponds. Water bananas still in water in basement. The one started growing in water myself is still in water in basement is still alive.

![]() Patty *I live in Missouri zone 6. And this year I grew my own water banana. I started by putting a small banana plant in one inch of water. I slowly raised the water to over the top of the pot over the summer. It worked. It is in my basement in water. I just hope they survive. This cold winter makes it even colder in the basement.
