banana coast
Hi all, in november last year we had a strong storm, on that day there was a ship on the sea with lots of bananas in containers, some containers falled into the see and this was how the beach looked on Terschelling and Ameland (small islands in the north of the netherlands)
I thougth that you guys should like this pics for some of you this can be the Banana heaven (with 30 degrees C, sun and banana trees in the dunes)

Re: banana coast
That's cool! I bet a lot of banana bread was made with those beat up fruits! I wonder if they absorbed any salt from the water?

Re: banana coast
I soak some kinds in saltwater before frying to make chips, like the Ae Ae chips recipe Jordon taught me. I peel them first though

Re: banana coast
If this is NOT a hoax,...this is close to "Surreal". "Brined bananas", indeed. Pickles anyone? Sounds kinda like the Flounder Stomp we went to on the west coast of England..between GB, and Scotland many years ago. I have seen all kinds of things scattered across the interstate highway system...but this is better than dead whales going up I-5.
