Banana Meetup in South Fla?
Anyone up for getting together on say a bi-monthly basis at our homes...perhaps tour the plantations, banana discussion, recipe/fruit exchange?
Feel free to schedule meet-ups in other parts of the country as well! |

Re: Banana Meetup in South Fla?
Sounds like it could be fun..
I met Terry (tlturbo) the other day, he might be up for it too. I know we have a few people in Virginia, a few in Georgia, and a few in California. Maybe they will want to do one near them, too. It's cool to see that people from the board are already going over each other's places, but something more organized isn't a bad idea. Have you ever seen meetup.com? I just checked, they don't have a group yet for banana enthusiasts. It's $19 per month though if we wanted to start our own. I wonder if it would help. Anyway, we don't need anything like that, just might be something to look into later on down the line. If the response is good, I can start a forum just for meetups.

Re: Banana Meetup in South Fla?
I have been into collecting old Hotwheels toy cars from the 60's/70's for some time now and some of the Hotwheel message boards do have regular regional get togethers that work out great. I'm just getting started with Bananas but I certainly wouldn't mind meeting with other Banana growers in the area and have no problem with them visiting my small plantation.
