Bananas I'm Growing...Pics
Is it possible to have too many Bananas? If I add up all the bananas I have fruiting, I think I'll have at least a 1000 pounds of fruit in a few months. Just thought I'd share a few pics...

Re: Bananas I'm Growing...Pics
Brag, Brag, Brag, lol, just kidding. Needed something else to say besides WOW!
They really look great. Since they can be canned, dried and frozen as well I myself could find a use for them though I might get tired of banana after a while, bet it would last all year! |

Re: Bananas I'm Growing...Pics
Thanks for all the compliments, but I think "Mother Nature" did most of the work. I just helped out a little. I think I have at least twenty different bunches going now...which means once the B's are eaten, I'll have a lot of future compost to contend with... ...Z

Re: Bananas I'm Growing...Pics
Great pics! Let us know how you like the taste of the Ice Cream fruit. I didn't care for them much and gave away all my plants.
Love the FHIA-18! hmmmm, gonna have to find room for one of those! Goldfinger is good, but I like SH3640 better - all a matter of personal taste.

Re: Bananas I'm Growing...Pics
Jetstream, does your Ice Cream have white stripes on the bracts as they open? I'm curious to hear from another Ice Cream grower as to weather or not that is a typical characteristic.

Re: Bananas I'm Growing...Pics
Cute...but no banana...I ride a HARLEY dude. Maybe I'll have to load it up with bananas for this years Daytona Biketoberfest. On the way over, I can stop off at the Cabbage Patch in Samsula and instead of nude coleslaw wrestling...they can party with my 'nanas...later...Z

Re: Bananas I'm Growing...Pics
A club I used to go to many years ago had contests that involved lovely young things and eating bananas. Bottle of champaign to the winner.
NOW I know what got me interested in wine and growing these things. Terry Last edited by tlturbo : 09-15-2005 at 12:35 PM. |
