Bananas on Jamaica
Reports say that Jamaica's bananas were about 2 weeks away from harvest and hurricane Gustav has destroyed 70-100% of the crop. The St Mary Banana plantation has been completely flattened. As of 2pm Sat Gustav is a cat 4 hurricane and the barometer is down to 935 millibars. Thinking of everyone in his path!
And we have Hanna heading for the Bahamas! Sheesh! Cassie Last edited by island cassie : 08-30-2008 at 01:33 PM. Reason: addition |
