Default Brazilian corm pushing first pup (fertilize?)

I hooked up with Ruplmnz in Tampa when he was thinning out his bananas awhile ago. Great guy gave me some bananas. I did get a corm from him that was destined for the compost pile. The Brazilian is starting to pup. My ? is do I start to fertilize now or does it get most of it's nutrients from the corm and wait till it gets bigger. Thank you for great forum Glenn PS monthly pics to follow

Hey,
I would try to cover that corm to help the pup...it will probably send out roots from that part that is not buried. But do not re-cover up the pup. Looks good, I don't know much about fertilizer though.
