Broken banana/corm during transplant...
I was moving a small saba corm that I planted a few months ago - it was in a location that wasn't getting enough sun and had become overgrown by surrounding vegetation. The pseudostem hadn't grown much, so I'd assumed that the corm hadn't taken root and tried pulling it out of the ground by the stem - which proceeded to break off. I then dug the corm up - maybe a little smaller than a volleyball - and replanted in a sunnier location. Can I expect it to sprout another stem - or did I kill it??

Re: Broken banana/corm during transplant...
It'll probably come right back, don't fret too much over it. Just give it nutrients.
Even if you didn't, it would probably be alright.
