Re: Broken banana top - any tips?
Thanx!
Hope it will live but what worries me is that its not a leave - its the top - (the growing part) that is broken. Its still there, but its barely connected to the rest of this plant Should i cut it off or leave it alone??

A good way to look at it is that anything above ground is a leaf.

Re: Broken banana top - any tips?
You can just leave the broken part alone, unless you think it's ugly. It won't hurt it either way.

Re: Broken banana top - any tips?
I wouldn't worry about leaves most bananas will come back from practically nothing as long as there is good corm. The one I had in front looked like it was dead at the beginning of the year and the people cutting the grass kept cutting it down (it was only like 2-3 inches) to the ground. It eventually got warm and popped back up.
