Broken leaves?
What happens if the leaves on your banana plant get snapped on the main p-stem? Will the main p-stem still push out new leaves next season? Someone at my nursery (who grows bananas himself) said that you will lose the main p-stem if the leaves are snapped off by wind. Is this true?

Your not going to do this !
But you can take a huge knife and wack your p-stem off 2/3 from the ground and it will simply push out a new leave .. Here look at this video
