Default Can an all Green Ae Ae produce variegated pups?

I know that sometimes an Ae Ae will produce an all Green Pup, and there is a Nursery not too far from that sells green Ae Ae's. My question is could that all green reversion produce variegated pups?

no, once they revert to green they cannot revert back to variegated.

Of course they can, but the chances are very slim. How did the variegation started in the first place? It is a sport mutation of the green type.

Ok, I guess you right Joe, but as Im sure we both know it would not be related to the fact that it came from a variegated plant, it would be a completly random seperate event.

Gabe, I was just being too literal, only for the sake of clarity to others who may take your answer out of context. I know from your first answer that what you really meant is your second answer, and I agree totally.

One other monkey wrench in this situation is weather or not the green plant is from TC. Several folks I have spoken with say that something is lost in the TC process and no variegated plants have been produced to date. All green or all whites that die.
So this would even further reduce the odds of producing a change to variegated.

That's sort of what I figured. Just thought that I would check and make sure. Thanks all.

Of course they can, but the chances are very slim if you don't grow any and if you grow a lot of them it happens often.

Actually it is related to the fact that it came from a variegated plant and each generation away from the original variegated plant lowers the percentage of variegated pups.

The mother plant of this all green a'ea'e plant which has an all white a'ea'e pup shows that they actually can revert from variegated to visually all green and back to variegated.

In the top photo the white pup inside the red circle just happened to be in the background of another photo.
