Cross Breeding Bananas
Hello! I would like to know if it is possible, and if it is how you would, crossbreed a seedless variety of banana such as a cavendish with a seeded variety of banana such as Musa Velutina or any other seeded varieties. Would you take pollen from one of them and then put it on the female flowers of the other? If this is not possible, how would you crossbreed two seeded banana varieties? Thank you!

Re: Cross Breeding Bananas
I tried this and found out how to cross pollinate, but my only question now is if I could use the pollen from a seedless species such as Cavendish or Grand Nain with a seeded species that needs pollen to produce fruit such as Musa Velutina or a Musa Ornata cultivar. Assuming that is a viable way of crossbreeding a seedless and a seeded, then I would get a banana with 4 chromosomes, which could be cross pollinated the same way with another normal seeded variety, such as Musa Velutina, to produce a new seedless banana species. Thank you so much for your time!
