Default Difference in pups?

I was wondering is someone with more experience can tell me the difference between pups that have swords leaves at first, and pups that put up a fat leaf right away. I think I heard somewhere that the sword ones are the good ones, but I am unsure.

Yes, the sword pups are supposed to be better. I just read a very informative thread on this the other day, if i can find it again I'll send you a link to it.

Thank you for the link, and the info. I have one question though that was not answered; is the fruit better tasting or the same? I see that the swords put out more fruit, but I see no mention of the quality of the fruit.
I have a nice sized sword pup from the banana I have, and I believe I could separate it now if I would like. I would be tempted to make a trade for it, but I don't know what it is. All I know is that it is a tall one that puts out a bunch of small sweet types that are delicious.
Its kind of off topic, but I have noticed something in regards to growing fruits and veggies. When the soil is amended with minerals such as azomite(which I use) they tend to taste much better than their counterparts. Its odd, but the flavor is just superior, as well as the growth and speed.
