Does Ensete ventricosum Maurelii produce seeds
First happy new year to you all...
Here in France it's very easy to find seeds from ensete ventricosum but never from the variety Maurelii ...Why? we just find plants... |

This is because Maurelii is just a color variant of Ensete ventricosum. Ensete ventricosum is naturally very variable in color, some selections with lots of red in them have been tissue cultured and called Ensete ventrisocum ʻMaureliiʻ. The seed of Ensete ventricosum may produce some red plants by chance, but it is unlikley.
