Dwarf Cav blooming
I usually know when the first indication of a flag leaf starts, BUT this was a total surprize yesterday morning. I NEVER even saw it coming. I guess I was too concentrated on the bunch almost ready to harvest on the other trunk (look under leaves). This is a GREAT plant.

Re: Dwarf Cav blooming
Oh wow, Terry, congrats!
Whats the name of that bromeliad you have there in the pot? I think I have the same kind but its a "no id" as I collected it from a friends home in Fort Lauderdale. As you can see in the description, I've been searching for the ID on it. It's a Neoregelia I presume, but that's about as far as I can tell. Think we have the same kind? It looks the same to me from here! Thanks!

Re: Dwarf Cav blooming
Beats me on the bromeliad. Sure looks identical. Has a bushy lookiing thing in the center with little tiny purple flowers on it.
Vicki brought it home from a plant place she took her son to find some palms last year. I just went and looked for a tag in the pot but NADA. That is one huge bud for a Dwarf Cav. Now I have 2 Dwarf Cav, Dwarf Orinoco, Misi Luki and Raja Puri in fruit. My Double Moai should be getting close to a bud - couple months maybe. Terry |
