ensete maurelli,do they have pups?
hello can anybody answer this question,ensete maurelli,i dont think they give pups,so how do i go about producing another plant,i have three of these beautiful plants ,but i dont know if i can split them to make more plants,if anybody can help me that would be great,many thanks to all you mad banana lovers

you can search the archives and pull up info about inducing pupping or p.m. sandy or lagniappe..they can give you specific info on it..i tried it and the plant just grew back. i believe you have to punch a few holes in the stump with the knife, not just cut it to a stump..if its dont right the original plant will die and you should get a few small plants from the stump. just so you know.. definately read the archives first.

Forcing it from what I have read from other's experiences means to cut it to the ground and actually punching a hole through the center growing point effectively killing the plant, afterwards you should get a decent amount of pups.
