Ensete Superbum question
I recently bought some ensete superbum 'Thailand rock' seeds from the banana-tree company in PA and noticed that they were very small, much smaller that the ensete glaucum. They are about the same size as a regular musa seed, such as M. sikkimensis but shaped like an ensete. Is this normal? I always thought that E. superbum were supposed to be a bigger seeded species.

Re: Ensete Superbum question
M. sikkimensis seeds are rather large for Musa, so if thats what you are comparing them to then they are still large compared to many other Musa. The biggest seeds I have seen were a particular E. ventricosum, but I have also seen smaller ones that are more like other Ensete seeds. See this link for a file with some comparisons. Musaceae seeds
