A friend from PR who was living hear me here in CA for a year had some dried long slices of Ae Ae sent to him by his brother back at the farm and they were very good!

They are considered "Pacific plantains" and are more of a cooking banana. They are also decent out of hand when very ripe. My old taste report: A'ea'e tasting report (ripe, out of hand)

They are bananas not plantains, not even close to the quality of a plantain but taste better than a Hua Moa.
