i was wondering has anyone fruited first year plant?
if so, what height did it fruit at? as i've read 7' can you tell me about the bunches? supposed to be very nice sized and numbered.. taste supposed to be appelish like manzano. as i've seen photos but most folks are using everyone elses photo for their advertisments, so not sure really.. here's mine as it's 5.5' now and hoping to fruit it next year..

Re: Fhia18
I planted mine the end of last year, and here is the result. I had a pretty good T'storm about two weeks ago and that, combined with the weight of the fruit caused the stem to bend over with the fruit touching the ground. Staked it back up horizontally with a six foot board and all is well though...
...it fruited this past May at about 8' of trunk height, so you're getting close. I cut one finger of fruit off, but it took almost 2 weeks to ripen. One of my favs for taste so far though. I cut another one off today to test...it had just the slightest tinge of yellow in the peel, so I think I'm close to taking the whole bunch... ...Z |

i've heard they're good tasting.. so if i can get 6' this year should come out with bloom early next year.. if you will let us know the total # & size of fruit, that would be great.. i so wished that bunch was hanging here this year..

Re: Fhia18
I bought one from Going Bananas about 1 1/2 years ago after tasting it but had to leave the plant when we moved in March. I need to get another one -it tasted great.
