Default For a friend

Aloha family.

My good friend in Texas wants to grow some good bananas. Can anyone help us out? Preferably Polynesian types. But any will do.

Texas is a big state, so depending on where they live, it might affect their option of cultivar.

Do they want to grow in their garden or in a container, or indoors?

He's in Austin. He has a pretty good idea of what a banana needs as far as care. I think he would have to try both for starters to be sure they would survive in ground. I think getting quality selection will be the most difficult task.

Tell them to contact me through my site or email me at tytaylor77@icloud.com

Iholena Tigua does great.
Hua Moa
Of course all the normal ones like Orinoco, namwa, Blue Java, etc.

I have stayed sold out of pups all year! I don’t have as many as normal due to the winter and making some changes. I have quite a few culture plants I made. They are similar to TC size. I’m in a similar zone and all. All my pictures at the Flickr link were grown in ground right here.

Just tell em to write anytime.
