Fruit plant show
Just got back from the Florida rare fruit tree show
In palm beach. They had many kinds of bananas and the prices were 15$ for any variety. Most of them were fresh cut pups some looked like they had been in Pots for awhile. There were so many Exotic fruits there that I have never heard of. If I lived down here I would of stocked up. |

Re: Fruit plant show
Did you snatch any?
You should be glad you're even that close to such a wonderful event. If I ever found a fruit sale of any sort or even a nursery, I'm lucky to see more than 6 types of apples. Seriously lucky to see figs or lemons. |

Re: Fruit plant show
I'm so glad it was too far for me to drive to. I'm too broke to go to a exotic fruit sale with many varieties of bananas at that nice price. I'd end up eating ramen for weeks!

Re: Fruit plant show
Its always a great show to attend. Free admission freeparking great prices on healthy plants. I bought a dragon fruit there today. They must have had 30 different mango type trees. And lots of bananas... I went to get a plantiain . But I wondered of and that Dragon fruit plant was calling to me.. I just found out my neighbour bought 4 bananas from the show. I'm lucky its only a 40 minute drive..

Re: Fruit plant show
Illia, check with the ag extension and see if they have a master gardener program. We enjoyed three of their plants sales here in central Florida and came home with a ton of goodies. Mostly exotic house plants, one sale each week for three weeks. House and yard are full of plants and after such good luck we went to an estate sale and filled up again. Didn't get the names of most of the plants but they are nice and healthy. Good growing.

Re: Fruit plant show
Sounds like here, lol. We've got a Master Gardeners program but honestly one is lucky to see a gardener growing something other than flowers, apples, and green veggies.
