Cold Here comes the HEAT! :(

Expected high of 110F in my area this weekend. Highs up to 120F in lower elevations. Lows above 80F expected for the next 7 days. Hope the bananas don't fry!

On the bright side, the rest of the country looks lovely!

Don't worry Velutina, I'll also be sharing beautiful weather this weekend!
After living here you realize seat belts make a good branding iron, asphalt has a liquid state, the cold tap is the same temperature as the hot one, and you break a sweat stepping out at 7:30 a.m.

Great pool weather though, the water feels like body temperature.

LOL! Rich, Very true! I turn my water heater off in the summer and the water is still too warm!!! Plus, Phoenix is usually 5-10 degrees warmer than Las Vegas! Good luck this summer

Jarred removed the multiquote!!!! WHY?????

OK, velutina, glad to see you here. Don't worry about the warmth. As long as you irritate, bananas will grow better than in my temps (record lows in 160 years). My zone 8a this year feels like 3a and it's not getting better.

Remember: it could always get worse.

Its either HOT or COLD but neither in the middle, atleast not for long. Its 97F in the shade... In the sun, it feals like you could fry an egg on the car hood.

I went out this morning to spray down the bananas at 9am and it was already 98F

It got up to 103F yesterday. The only damage so far is on an Ensete glaucum.

Blake, I might just have to crack an egg on the road this weekend and post pics

Amber, I don't think i've ever really experienced heat+humidity like you get there. At least when it reaches 108F here, the dry breeze cools you down. But the bananas don't appreciate it unfortunately.

That must feel horrible Amber! At least in the desert the heat dries you up before you know it. One of my friends told me he went to Florida a few years back and it was so humid one day that he could actually see the air moving around him.

Is it really that bad? <---------Awesome camel btw.

Important note: Never move to Arizona or Las Vegas! Maybe Florida though since it sounds a lot like here! We are at 85 degrees here with 45% humidity. We'll be having upper 80s [farh], with lows in the 60s for the next 5 days!
You people, in the Mohave-like areas, stay safe and don't forget the potato chips [salt really helps]!
