Hey Bigdog!!
Have you dug your Plants up yet?? If not,any idea when are you will start?? I am just curious, because I am going to have start here pretty soon and you are not too far from me!! Looks as though, I might have as much work to do as you ......Can you remember what date you dig them up last year?? Any help will be appreciated!!

Hi Frank,
I'm not sure when I'm going to dig them now! Last year, it was around the end of October. I got some frost here two night in a row a few days back, so my plants have had their tops bronzed pretty good. A shame too, because I wanted to keep a few leaves in tact on some of the larger ones. Oh well...maybe next year. The frost was about 2 weeks early here. Funny thing is that it looks like the UT campus didn't get a bit of frost! I went to the UT Gardens today, and they still had their bananas out, untouched by frost. I would end up in the worst microclimate in Knoxville ! No frost due here for a while, so I may just wait until November. |
