There doesn't seem to be anything wrong with it other than it's in a bucket in what appears to be rather lacking in quality soil.

Looks fine to me. Bananas routinely have the lower leaves turn yellow/brown, Just cut them off when they turn brown. Perhaps you could get it in a little bit larger container or, depending where you're located, plant it in the ground.

If you just transplanted its going through the shock process.. Feed it well and in 3 weeks it should be go to go..

Yeah, that's what I was thinking, too. It looked like it had just been re-potted, and it was probably lacking in enough moisture until the roots re-adjust. Mine are planted in the ground, and when you see them early in the morning, they are very perky looking. After a few hours, around noon time they droop some, and then they perk up again around 4 pm or so. I think they just get a little droopy from moisture loss due to more evaporation from the more intense sunlight. Yours looks like mine during those times.

I also am in Maryland. I routinely put my naners in the ground in the spring and dig them up in the fall (except for basjoo). Some I pot up and put in the living or family room so they get good sun, and the rest I put in the basement and allow to go dormant. Where in Md.? (The pic shows a healthy but transplant-shocked pup. Don't worry.)
And welcome to the forum!
