Ice cream flavor
So I noticed some of my ice cream bananas were yellow I harvested today. See pic Droplr • image.jpg
But actually, I thought the flavor to be ok but a bit rubbery with a lot of moisture. A lot more so than the market ones. Perhaps that is just how they are?

Re: Ice cream flavor
Those bananas you have on there look more like Namwah. How ripe were they when you ate them? Were they just yellow or did they have brown spots?

Re: Ice cream flavor
You need to wait longer. You want some to a lot of brown/black on the peel before they are at their sweetest and best.

Re: Ice cream flavor
hard to see the bananas well in that picture, but they don't look anything like an Ice Cream to me.

Re: Ice cream flavor
Maybe it isn't ice cream. Bit of a disappointment. They have been flowering in the 12 to 14 foot range

Re: Ice cream flavor
I found the Ice Cream to be fair in taste but if that's a Namwah you might just enjoy it more than the Ice Cream. I hear very good things about the Namwah but you have to eat them when they look almost too ripened.
