Default I'm sure I messed up

I mentioned in my "hello" thread that I have a Dwarf Cavendish purchased on Mother's Day and planted about 2 weeks later in the ground; I bought her at Lowes in 1 gallon pot so you probably know how big she was. She's now about 4' tall and popping out 3'+ long leaves in just under a week. I've fertilized with knock off Miracle Gro once; where she landed is not typical FL sandy soil but appears to be where years of oak leaves composted. (She's in low spot so I haven't had to water either.) She's against a fence facing south (enclosed area) and there are trees behind her.

Yes, I now know that this is probably not the right variety for zone 9. I have no way to dig her up and bring her inside this winter; I can't get my hand around her "base" (forgive the newbie lingo).

My questions: (Yes, I've searched.)
Do I drape her with sheets if frost is expected (Yankee gardener here) or do I just wait and cut back what's dead next spring?

How cold hardy is she?

Is only 1 pup normal?

That's what my research said but all I have is one 6" sword. I keep checking but nada.

Maybe I don't have a Dwarf Cavendish? She came with a label around the "stem" that no longer fits. Leaves are not ragged--they're pristine enough to sell to a gourmet restaurant and we've had windy weather. I have the pot with the FL nursery name on it and can call but I know there can be mishaps in production. (Once upon a time I raised figs--they are hardly ever what you think you're purchasing.) I'm not complaining; she's a beautiful plant but ????

Search youtube for bananas winter bubble wrap. Instead of bubble wrap some people pile leaves around as insulation. As long as the corm survives it will grow back when it is warm again.

Don't worry about how many pups -- it has to do with how old and large the corm is, how close the plant is to flowering, whether it's crammed in a pot that is too small, etc. If it is healthy -- and looking at how many pups are being produced isn't the way to tell -- it will eventually make more pups than you want.

You brought back memories of my fig buddies on Long Island; they told stories about their Italian grandfathers wrapping their trees in overcoats. I never wrapped my trees in the DC area; I did cage one I took to Akron. Didn't help. Dead to the roots but came back and finally flowered her 3rd season. I'll check out youtube. Thanks.

I really am beginning to wonder if this is a Dwarf Cavendish. It doesn't look like pictures I've seen; I think I need to take one and see what you all think.
