Isn't that funny.
I have this unknown banana in my garden. It's always grown well, but not very tolerant of the cold we've had the last 2 years so it's never came close to fruiting.
I also was just remarking yesterday how it seems to grow well but that it hasn't really ever gotten that tall, and that this year is no exception. Right now it's maybe 6' max. And I have paid a little better attention to is to see if I could give it its best chance to fruit. Alas I said. This a.m. I was on the porch drinking a cup of jo, looked over and said, "Well isn't that funny" and I saw the flag. Can't wait to get a flower so you guys can tell me what I have.

Re: Isn't that funny.
Love the smooth, shiny leaf surface. Pretty plant.

Re: Isn't that funny.
Congrats, your patience paid off. I'm sure someone will be able to IDit upon flowering, and you'll have some fine eating in a few months.
