Re: Jungle Trash Or Treasure ?
What did you mean by 'mostly white' - the fruit or the plant?

Re: Jungle Trash Or Treasure ?
What do you mean, “I haven’t seen it for twelve years"? Are you talking about the one on
your property, or the one in the bush? What colour are the leaves of the one, which grew from the corm you took home? Quote:
a) in the jungle and b) on your property? Also, can you place something beside the fruit, so we can visualize the size? From your photo and the wood grain they appear fairly small? Best, Olaf

Re: Jungle Trash Or Treasure ?
Where is this jungle located? Any one live or lived near that jungle? seems like it's edible fruit. May be some uncontacted tibes lived there.

Re: Jungle Trash Or Treasure ?
Looks to me like a 'Manzano'/'Silk' that was harvested a little early.

Re: Jungle Trash Or Treasure ?
I wouldn't call them trash. Every edible plant is a treasure.
But if Puerto Rico is anything like parts of Florida. Those small fruited bananas are not worth much money wise. They just grow everywhere. Its a wonder really, how they get to some places when they don't grow from seed.
