Just curious....
I live in Canada so guess this would be directed to Canadians or I would welcome anyone else to chime in please.
Where do you get your banana plants from or do you buy seeds? I have looked and I can't seem to find anything too exotic in the nurseries. Any help is greatly appreciated |

Re: Just curious....
I have found that the best place to get bananas from is right there. Check out the classified section to see how is selling what. If you are looking for something in particular, post a wanted add. The members here tend to be very generous with what they send.

Re: Just curious....
I'd say you may want a bajoo if your really commited get a cali gold, Dwarf Orinoco or Ice Cream (blue Java).. They seem to be the best to grow or maintain in cooler weather (of course you still dont want to let them freeze). :^)

Re: Just curious....
Thank you I just tried to post a "wanted" bananas add and it says I need a 100 credits to do so, if anyone has any seeds or pups of either siam ruby, ice cream, any bluish leaves or yellowish please let me know. I am in Canada so I am not sure of the shipping procedure.
Thx so much, Gail. |

Re: Just curious....
Hi Gail, edible nanas don't have seeds. Seeds come from the ornamental types. For the edibles mentioned you need pups.
