Ladang Musaceae lives
Friends,
Most everyone who knew Tog had heard about Ladang Musaceae. This was his dream. I didn't know Tog very long, but we had several discussions, Via Email about Ladang Musaceae. We were actually in what we were calling a cooling down period just before his death. We had all kinds of ideas swirling around and each of us needed to gather our thoughts and decide what direction to go in. I went on vacaton in June of 2009 and when I came back my friend had passed away. I was shocked to say the least. Tog wanted to have a site up and running in the Fall of 2009. I secured the domain Ladang Musaceae on October 16th 2009, so my friends wish was fulfilled. I have a very basic structure put together, bare bones if you will. I will be revieving emails, and direct messages we shared together to put together a structure that incorporates both of our dreams and desires for Ladang Musaceae. In the future you will see new growth on the site. I will be slowly moving my content from Midwest Aquatics and Exotics to Ladang Musaceae, and two other site I have secured. I know that Tog had told me he had been talking to two others about this concept. If you have emails from Tog you would like to share I would love to read them and those that had donations for the preserve, you may contact me also if this is still of interest to you. send me a post and I will send you an email to forward them to. I appreciate the support from some of the members while developing this site. You will see updates and improvements in the upcoming weeks and months. Michael

Re: Ladang Musaceae lives
Nice. Do you happen to know what's up with Tog's collection in M'ysia? Did his daughter sell it or is it still there and if it's still there, is it still referred to as "Ladang Musaceae" or is it a banana nursery these days. It would be interesting to find out more about what's become of Tog's legacy.

Re: Ladang Musaceae lives
Jack that is an interesting question! I have never spoke to his daughter and do not have his address. I don't know if she is even maintaining his email or not. I have another friend in Malay with a streamyxy email and it's always having issues. Tog and I had a time communicating because he wasn't getting some of my emails and I didn't get some of his so we had to use the PM feature here to let the other know to look for an email. I will fire off an email and see what happens. Maybe someone has his old address and I could try to contact someone that way also. Send a PM if you have the address. Tog was going to get me some plumeria books from Thailand when he made a trip but that never happened so I don't have it.

Re: Ladang Musaceae lives
Sorry, I don't have Togs address, but there are plenty of people who got some seeds from him, so it shouldn't be that difficult to find them and find out what address he used...
